In response to the widespread effects of trauma among children coupled with the move to create integrated services within trauma-informed schools, it is imperative that educators have a general understanding of trauma and its impact on learning. The Day Trauma Came to Class is our flagship training that will provide educators with a general understanding of how trauma compromises the affective, behavioral, and cognitive abilities of students, in turn, enabling those educators to better help students navigate barriers.
When you are a teacher in an inclusive classroom with students of multiple learning needs, educating all students can be challenging at best. In an effort to help you better understand those students in your classroom who have been a victim of child maltreatment has created and continues to create with their partners and affiliates, research-based professional development aligned to and supportive of professional teaching standards that educators can use to quickly assimilate into their classroom and practice.
